What are the preparations for bearing installation?

1. Before installing bearings, appropriate measuring tools should be used to check the machining quality of shafts, seat holes, and related parts according to the technical requirements specified on the design drawings.



2. If there are bumps, burrs, rust spots, or solid particles on the assembly surface of the shaft and seat hole, it will not only make it difficult to install the bearing and make the installation position incorrect, but also if solid particles fall into the bearing, they will have a grinding effect. When the bearing rotates, it will abrade or scratch the working surface of the bearing. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully inspect before installation.



3. The assembly surface should be cleaned with clean gasoline, kerosene, toluene, or xylene solution, wiped dry with a clean cloth, and then coated with a thin layer of lubricating oil to make installation and operation more convenient.



4. Before installation, open the bearing package and immerse it in the above-mentioned gasoline and other liquids to rotate it gently by hand. Ensure that the sealing oil on the cage, rolling element, and raceway surface is thoroughly cleaned and clean.



5. When cleaning a large number of bearings, first use hot engine oil with a temperature of 90~100 ℃ to melt the sealing oil. At the same time, use a seamless and non falling tool to dig out all the old oil, and then heat it for a few minutes. Then rinse off the oil with kerosene, and finally clean it again with gasoline. After cleaning, you should wear film gloves and place the bearings on a clean cloth or paper on the workbench to dry.
